Bravery
by Alannah Melissa

Bravery is...
When you step up
and use your skills
in a non-violent way.
It's when you discover
your defense power
That's bravery.

True Love
By Alannah Melissa

True love is...
when you feel soft hair in your cheeks.
True love is...
when the world stops
and there are butterflies in your stomach.
True love is...passion

Feelings
By Alannah Melissa

Sadness is
a painful sorrow in your heart.
Happiness is
a bolt of joy in your mind.
But anger is
a shot of fury.

This poem is dedicated to all the kids
who endure child labor and my friend
Amirah who empowered me to write it.
Thanks Amirah!!! Smile

Another Day Gone
By Alannah Melissa

Today I am here,
tomorrow I am there.
I don't know where I am.
Can you see?
Be my eyes.
Can you open mine?
All I ask is...
for you to relieve my stress.
Have some sympathy.
I just need a sweet melody...
to cure another day gone.

My Heart
By Lourdes I. Cancel & Alannah Melissa

I see my life,
my heart smiles.
I see myself,
my heart shines.

I see my father,
my heart fills with joy.
I see my mother,
my heart fills with love.

I see my friends,
my heart feels lucky.
I see my family,
my heart gets strong.

I see nature,
my heart opens up
I see the world,
and my heart stops.

Cream Puff
by Alannah Melissa

I see a cream puff
sitting in the store
I hear the crunchiness
in its crust
I smell the sweetness
in its cream
I taste the flavor
in its soft and chewy cream
I feel its softness.

Wandered into the Distance
By Alannah Melissa and T.

Today I am with them,
tomorrow I am not.
I left behind my spirit,
and wandered into the distance.
I left my origin of life behind,
and wandered into the distance,
to only miss it even more
than its worth.
